2018 TJCAC Summer Retreat, Redeemer University

Registration Times and Locations

  • Full-Time Campers: Leave your luggage in the vehicle upon arrival. Head to Recreation Center (refer to campus map) for registration (8:30-9:30am).

  • Late comers and Sunday Day campers:  English meetings will be held at the Recreation Centre (refer to timetable for schedule and campus map for location).

  • Children program (Rooms 210 and 212D) and Nursery (Room 218) are located at 2nd floor of Academic Building (refer to campus map for location).

  • Residence check-ins begin at 4pm. Due to late check-in time, please keep food for breakfast in a Cooler.

 

What to Bring

  • Breakfast is NOT provided – To avoid being late for sessions, it is recommended that you bring breakfast for Sunday and Monday  (Residence Breakfast: 8:00-9:00am)

  • Vital for survival: Campus map and schedule (see website), Bible, stationery, alarm clock, flashlight, legally-prescribed medication

  • Toiletries: Toothpaste, toothbrush, towel, face cloth, soap, shower gel, shampoo, cups

  • Clothing: Sufficient change of clothes, windbreaker, running shoes (no black soles / marking soles if you are planning to use them in the gym), sandals, slippers, socks

  • Residence: 2 baths and 1 kitchen, fridge, microwave, stove, 8 cutlery sets, 2 bath towels per person

  • Cooking and Eating: pots and pans, utensils, detergent, garbage bags, paper towel and napkins, cutleries, plates and cups

  • Optional: Hat, umbrella, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, insect repellent, water bottle, sleeping bag , pillow, fitted sheet, blankets, stuffed animals, chargers for electronic devices, hair dryer, clothes hangers

 

DO NOT BRING OR USE FIREWORKS OF ANY KIND TO REDEEMER

Additional Notes

  • There will be no worship services held at Jaffray’s Meadowvale and Sheppard location on July 1

  • Redeemer Residences will provide towels, bed sheets, pillow and blanket, microwave, fridge, stove, kettle, coffee machine, a set of cutleries for each person, plates and cups

  • Do not bring valuable items – Redeemer, church and Retreat Committee will not be responsible for any damage or loss of your belongings

  • Do not lose your room keys! Penalties will apply for lost keys

  • In case of life-and-death emergencies, call 911. For all other non-life-and-death emergencies, contact the Retreat Committee  (phone numbers will be printed on your name tag)

  • Keep residence and campus clean and tidy

  • Lights out at 11pm, please respect others by being quiet after this time

  • After breakfast on Monday July 2:

    • Remove all the food from the fridge

    • Pack your luggage into your vehicle

    • Leave all your doors unlocked

    • Return your room keys to your House Master

    • Join the last meeting at Recreation Centre
